CTLS Off-Field Landing

Everyone is OK, walked away from airplane with minor whiplash from quick stop. Great Piloting!
Pilot reported Dynon alarmed with Zero fuel pressure then other alarms. 16 gals of fuel on board at landing.

Loved the comment about 'make a hard landing in a corn field and the gear automatically retract'.

Many of those comments praise the condition of the plane after its off-airport landing. Is there any better cushioned field than landing in 4' of corn? Guess Alfalfa would be better...
