Sentimental Journey to Cub Haven - 2017 edition

Post by drseti »

Just around the corner, folks - this year's KLHV fly-in is just days away. Join us at Piper Memorial Airport from Tuesday, 20 June, through Saturday, 24 June 2017. Food, forums, and fellowship, plus aerobatics, spot landing and short-field contests, poker runs, fly-outs, tours, and free entertainment every evening. Look me up on the North side of the airport in Hangar One, where I will be scheduling Discovery Flights daily from noon to 2 PM.

As usual, at this year's Sentimental Journey fly-in, I'll be presenting four separate FAA WINGS award safety seminars. Here's the schedule of new topics:

Wednesday 21 June - Droning On: Safe and Successful Operation of Unmanned Aircraft Systems

Thursday 22 June - The Ins and Outs of ADS-B

Friday 23 June - I'M SAFE: Reviewing the Pilot's Preflight Inspection Checklist

Saturday 24 June - Gauges to Glass: Transitioning to 21st Century Avionics

All seminars are 10 to 11 AM in the first floor conference room at the Piper Aviation Museum, 1 Piper Way, Lock Haven PA 17745. You may sign up in advance at faasafety.gov, or just show up.

Forum members, please be sure to introduce yourselves!

Karen and I plan on arriving Tuesday or Wed afternoon. Travel trailer with 3 dogs and camping at the airport.

I guess with 2020 right around the corner, might take in the professor's ADSB seminar.

If anyone else is headed that way, love to hook up!

We made it! Camped in the camping area.

I'll be at the Professor's ADSB seminar in the morning, then around the airport all day.
