Starting this thread about exhaust wrapping.
This is a great enhancement especially in warmer weather.
I also believe it extends life of rubber and other parts under the cowling.
Just make sure to leave space around your EGT probes.
Yesterday was 85 degrees F and I was held short for no less than four inbound aircraft.
This is a very difficult situation to be stuck in.
Idled high at 2,700 for cooling.
CHT increased a bit but nowhere near as high as it would have been without the exhaust wrap.
When I shut down I always used to rush to open the oil filler door on top of my cowling. There was always so much heat that it felt like an oven. No more! Very noticeably cooler.

Exhaust Wrapping
H.
