Fuel Pump issue

As an interesting footnote:

I replaced my wonky fuel pressure sender with the same part # VDO sender.

When it arrived, it had a red tag attached saying: "Not for use with fuel".

Thought that odd, but its the same part that came on my plane in the first place.

Go figure!

Maybe that's why it went wonky!

Looks very familiar.

My Equipment List seems to list nearly every little thing, but I don't see that.

In any case, the "Not For Use With Fuel" did surprise me.

Next time you buy NGK spark plugs look on the box.

And then there's propeller leading edge tape. It's a 3M product, sold by Aircraft Spruce under exactly that name. When you open up the box, there's a warning label provided with the roll of tape: not for use on propellers.

It was located on an aluminum bracket attached to the engine.

I relocated the new one off the engine to cut down on vibration:



That was in Feb 2011, and so far so good.
