Rotax 912 External Alternator

H. Paul Shuch is a Light Sport Repairman with Maintenance ratings for airplanes, gliders, weight shift control, and powered parachutes, as well as an independent Rotax Maintenance Technician at the Heavy Maintenance level. He holds a PhD in Air Transportation Engineering from the University of California, and serves as Director of Maintenance for AvSport of Lock Haven.

Is that the oil filter under cylinder # 2? Did you have to modify how you mounted the oil filter?

Hope the pics helped, the only modification was the bracket, which lowered the Alt so it would fit under the cowl. I did have to do some changes to the cooling shroud for the RV12, by moving the scat tube from the passenger side intake instead of the pilot side. This is a RV12 issue only.

Good Luck BTW the guys at Lockwood were very helpful for wiring and installation
