Currently, my renters insurance is with NATIONAL UNION FIRE INSURANCE CO. OF PITTSBURGH, PA. This was purchased through AOPA. If I were to enter into a 50/50 partnership in a SkyCatcher, who do you advise would be the best insurance company to go with? I'm not looking for the most expensive or the cheapest. I'm looking for reasonable premiums and good coverage in the event of a claim.

Thanks.

I've had very good luck with the EAA insurance program through Falcon Agency (Kerrville TX). You probably have to be an EAA member. They are definitely LSA-friendly. (Disclaimer - I have no commercial affiliation with them whatever - just been a customer for 5 years)

That's a very reasonable rate.

Got a quote of $895 from USSIC for $65,000 hull and $1,000,000 liability for the 2 named pilots. Seems pretty reasonable.

VERY good rate. My last renewal was for $1285 with $75k hull + $1M liability, zero deductible. (down from $1410 the previous year)

I'm guessing the number of hours in your logbook compared to mine accounts for a good bit of the difference.
