can't get ins for flying club

Post by glyn »

our flying club would like to buy a LSA but for some reason can't "add" an LSA to what we have. we can get insurance for the LSA BUT we have to transfer all of our planes over as well.
is there a company that will insure an LSA and allow us to keep our airplane with the current. it's cheaper that way or we wouldn't mind transferring all of it over.

could we do a leaseback ? is there a way around the system.

I tried with Avemco, but they are not underwriting LSA flying clubs. The instruction and rental policy on the airplane for a normal flight school insurance runs for $7000/year through W Brown.
