Welcome back!

Gerald - welcome back. Glad the forum is up and running again. And I'm really hoping we start getting more posts about becoming sport pilots!

Maybe to get things started I'll just ask how folks learned about their local sport pilot training centers. I don't see much (none?) publicity or marketing other than websites, and here in southern New England sport pilot training is for all practical purposes non-existent.

People who are getting their first lessons - where are you, and how'd you locate your sport pilot training?

tom,

we have been looking for training for erin, my girlfriend for 1 1/2 years.

the problems are, that actual instructors proficient in the ctsw are 150 to 200 km away. this year my policy will permit any pilot with 5 hours in type to fly my ctsw so we tried a local cfi. an old friend and a good pilot.

after 2 landing attempts he wouldn't continue. now i think i will get a spi rating and teach her myself.

I've added a few new flight schools recently. The "Flight School and Rental Finder" map continues to grow.

If anyone knows of a flight school offering sport pilot training and/or light-sport aircraft rentals, please email [email protected]

Thanks!
