That's great news. Hope it works out. If not, let us know and many of us will kick-in "crowdsourcing" to keep this place alive.

Any news on the site acquisition front? If it falls-through, I think there's enough interest from many site "regulars" to make GoFundMe or similar a viable option.

Just out of curiosity, should no action be taken, what's the drop-dead date for the site?

Hosting is paid thru August 17th.

The buyer says he is proceeding and putting together a purchase contract.

Well guys, no word from the potential buyer. I asked that the transfer be complete this week but no response.

If you would like to pitch in for another 3 year hosting renewal please donate via PayPal to [email protected]. If we fail to raise close to $300 the server will likely shut down around August 20. The amount due is $313.54. I will refund any donations if this fundraiser is unsuccessful.

Thank you,

Gerald

PayPal is giving me the following message,
"[email protected] needs a PayPal account to get your $50.00 USD".
I'm not new to PayPal but this is the first time I've seen this.

Thank you yabiah ⭐️

I just made another PayPal payment to Gerald and received the same message including the additional message:
“Your recipient will have 10 days to create a PayPal account and accept the money. Once they do, we'll transfer it from your account.”

So the funds are going through and waiting for Gerald to claim.

Keep donating everyone. Together our SportPilotTalk community can be saved! ✈️

I just emailed Gerald directly to alert him. Although I did not yet receive a reply, I’m sure that he will setup his PayPal account.
Keep the donations coming!

Hi Guys - thanks for the donations, we're up to $105.

Sorry about the email glitch. I didn't want to change my account to a sportpilottalk.com email address because I will lose access to that if the site shuts down. However I was able to add a secondary email. I thought I had already done that
