Not an LSA but still fun!

Post by Atrosa »

I still read the posts here as they are very informative even though I'm pursuing my PPL. The 4 forces are the same whether an LSA or a 747. A particular shout out to Paul and Shawn (from scflier) for being exceptionally helpful. So in my journey, which was put on hold since COVID shut down my flight school I have flown 2 different C172s and a Warrior.

I'm looking for a new CFI. The CFI my new school assigned to me is not a good fit. Between taxiing at 20 knot, not maintaining center line, texting his girlfriend on the ground and in the air, missing radio calls... and so forth... I get better feedback from Paul in this forum the the 20 year old in the right seat charging me $65 per hour.

I had the opportunity to fly a Piper Malibu 46, pressurized, twin turbo piston and I jumped at it. Couldn't log the time but I've grown less concerned about time and more concerned about just getting up there and learning.

A business partner's husband is fortunate enough to own this beautiful bird and gracious enough to allow me to take the controls. What an experience. He wa quizzing me all throughout the day on a bunch of test stuff. I got nothing wrong and he was impressed. I said I study through King School, listen to Opposing Bases, and read the wisdom from a select few forums.

Blue skies
