Okay for a low time Sport pilot, I never even thought about the runways not being plowed. Well Last Sunday I flew into KTSO and it was sort of plowed. I enjoyed landing and taking off, but this isn't in any of my training I took.

Joey nice, it looks like you came in slow, held it off and just let her run out. Outstanding!
That rudder doesn’t care what your surface is
We fly at least 4 months of the year with snowy runways and even Ice runways on some of the lakes. I posted this last year going into the only FAA ice runway. B18 opens for a short period in New Hampshire.

David,
I may have to try that one of these days, but probably not this year. Since in my Ercoupe that would be about a full day of flying with fuel stops to get there, I would need to plan a good weather 2 day trip.
It does look like lots of fun though. I didn't post my video landing at an airport 20 minutes away (I40) from TSO when I needed fuel. The runway was clear, the only snow was on the APRON but it was almost cleared off as well.

Crosswinds can be amusing.
I found that the aircraft weathervaned with the tires slipping but tracking straight down the runway until the tires finally had enough surface traction to guide it.
Odd looking perspective but everything stayed in balance so it was 'normal'.
