Happy New Year to all as well. It is -2 outside right now. I'll be headed out with my youngest son in a little while to go fly gliders.

Not as though you're going to find any thermals at that temperature!

Actually there was some lift, but not much. I have been working on a sport pilot glider add on, but todays flight for me was not in a light sport glider. My flight was the last of the day, so there wasn't even as much lift as there was earlier. With a tow to 2,000 feet I was able to stay up 20 minutes. My son made a flight earlier in the day in a lighter single seat glider. He was up 35 minutes with a 2000 foot tow.

Happy new year everyone! Looking at 18 degrees as a low here in Central Louisiana, going to be close to a record, if not a record.
