Although that would definitely help my cash flow, it's inconsistent with my educational philosophy. The purpose of ground instruction is not to pass the written (that can easily be accomplished through self-study), but rather to reinforce flight training. That's why I integrate it into the flying curriculum, and tailor each ground lesson to the particular phase of flight being taught.
Also, make sure your routine maintenance and annuals fall in the winter.
For any plane used in commercial service, the condition inspection has to be done every 100 hours. So, I do several per year, and can't seem to figure out how to make them all come due during the winter. :(

Shouldn't be. After all, Lock Haven is the center of the LSA Universe. (Or at least, it was in 1937).

I'm pretty sure the center moved to Bradford in 1936, and then on to Alliance Ohio. :D

Paul, your operation needs to winter in Winter Haven so I can have a rental nearby. KGIF should become your home in those slow months between Deland and Sun-n-Fun.

I actually tried to move to FL when I retired, Half. My wife said, "you're welcome to move to FL, if you want to." Hell, I can read between the lines!

Well, many people have both a summer home and a winter home. Sounds like you'll need a summer wife and a winter wife.

Besides, wintering at KGIF would put you next door to Jack Brown's. Pretty handy whenever you have a seaplane craving. And Preston Aviation is there, too, for those times when you get the urge to do some acro in a vintage Stearman.

All that's lacking at KGIF is a light sport operation, and I really wish someone would put one there so I could have a convenient rental.
