Can't see SportPilot's posts

Constructive topics of interest related to aviation that do not match the other section descriptions below (as long as it is somewhat related to aviation, flying, learning to fly, sport pilot, light sport aircraft, etc.). Please, advertisements for Viagra will be promptly deleted!"

Yes. My father died suddenly when I was still too young and stupid to appreciate his accomplishments. Now that I'm older, and hopefully wiser, I can think of thousands of questions I wished I had asked him, mostly about his service with the US Army 5th Air Force in the Pacific during WWII. He soloed in a J3 Cub, and went on to be an A/P tech SGT on Allison and Pratt & Whitney engines (P38, P39,P40, B24, B25).

Hate to pile on, but the fact that so many threads consist of disjointed discussions and strings of deleted posts is the main reason I've been much of a participant here. I wish that were different, but honestly... it makes this forum too frustrating to read.

Oh, BTW, finished my SP cert and bought an airplane in the meantime, so it's not like there's been nothing to talk about.

Couldn't agree more on your 1st point. (I assume you meant "haven't been much of a participant") PS - congrats on your new cert and plane!

And... posts like that are another reason people are likely to stay away.

Hey, maybe that's your goal, and if that's the case, more power to you. It just seems--to me anyway--to contradict the whole spirit of having a forum.

So talk about it!

We'd love to hear about it, or at least I would. How did the training go? What was your check ride like? What plane did you buy? Is it the Chief you mentioned? Could you post some photos? Where have you flown it to so far? What are your flying plans?

Start a thread and clue us in! 8)
