Hangar Recommendations in VA?

Can any of our members recommend an airport with immediate availability for basing an aircraft in Virginia?

What part of VA? (It's a big state!)

Near me, try Shannon Airport (Fredericksburg) or Stafford Regional... also depends on how temporary the needs are... Stafford has a waiting list, but I know of a few people who have been in a pinch and needed a week and they've organized something with the owner of an empty hanger (maintenance/etc). Shannon just re-launched and *should* have reasonable availability.

Also, if somebody bases an LSA at either of those airports and would like to partner on it in some way, I'd love to!

I'm flexible as to location. Preferably someplace with decent amount of restaurants and stores around. Not really rural. Maybe a little cosmopolitan, but not big city either.

Looking for someplace to base with decent weather to do cross-countries (even in Winter) VFR ONLY, to North, South and West.

Runway at least 50 x 3,000 or so.

Shares considered.

North or South Carolina might be options as well.
