I need some help with my Garmin 696, I'm about to throw it through the window, because I can't figure what's up with it.
I used to fly with a 396 Backup, so I have some familiarity with Garmin's (IMO), horrible interfaces, but this one has me baffled.
If I use the "Nearest" key to bring up Airspace, the Airspace Map shows, but the top 1/2 of the page where it's supposed to list Airspaces & their parameters, is blank. I searched Google for hours this morning and found at least 4 or 5 posts on various discussion boards about the exact same problem, but the posters never got answers. Apparently it's a fairly common issue that no one has ever solved
Also, I was playing with "settings" and lost my Airspace display on the Map page. Every airport was surrounded by a Compass Rose, with markings. I know have airspace back on my Map page, but I'm not sure how I got it there, so I'm curious.
I appreciate any input!
