The way I understand it the IFR prohibitted is a stop gap to keep the FAA from doing it for us. They are still working on the standards. An old LSA if brought up to the current standards should be OK I would think. What IFR prohibited? There is nothing that specifically prohibits IFR flight current...

even without the corvairs and smokers involved your logic remains hard to follow. Let me make it as simple as possible for you. I should not have to wait a month or more for parts. There should be enough authorized service centers in my region that I don't have to wait a month for an appointment. F...

I think they need to care because have you seen the rate of new pilots each year? The number of active pilots are also decreasing at an alarming rate. Who pays for the aviation services once the pilots are all gone?[/quote] This is just a opinion of mine, but I think that the last of the WWII and la...

Not all aircraft or pilots are perfect. This is definately the place for lively discussions on all light sport aircraft. At times it seems the posts are more meant to sell a certain aircraft rather than provide information .I do believe a little less name calling could be in order and we could still ...

What did you think of it. I pondered buying one but thought the workmanship to not be up to par. I decided on the EuroFox because of the quality and that there are over 250 now flying. It is lama certified and cheaper to own in the long run. The price you see is what you pay, nothing extra. This is ...

U.S. Sport Aviation Expo 2008 January 17-20, 2008 At Sebring Regional Airport, Florida http://www.sport-aviation-expo.com/ To far away for me. Wish they had something like some of the great airshows they have back east on the West coast as well. An all LSA show here would be a mind blowing thing he...

EuroFox drivers out there?

Just wondering if there are any EuroFox flyers out there. I have one and it is a well made sturdy plane patterned after the Avid and the Kitfox taking the best of each more or less and putting some of their own engineering inovations to work on it. Workmanship and detail are first class. Just wonder...

Here is a video of Jimmy Franklin doing aerobatics in his Kitfox at Oshkosh in 1992. This guy knows how to fly! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6Xj8FOUtGc Has that plane had anything special done to it to beef it up, fuel, oil, etc. Or is it something that can be done with the stock plane with trai...

Hi Paul,

Just wondering how the new requirement from Rotax will affect the 16 and 120 hr students and the courses they have already taken. Will any work or inspection of the Rotax engines need special training now in addition to the 2 week course's?

Thanks,

Gary
