Re: Bristell - BRM Aero - HIGH WING B8
I wonder if this aircraft is coming to the USA ? I saw these pics earlier this week and think its a pretty sexy high wing.

Re: E-AB AS A SPORT PILOT
Would it be legal to build a E-AB that's not specifically built to be LSA compliant but register it and operate it with in the LSA rules ? How does that work can you put limitations so it can only be operated to meet LSA requirements. It doesn't matter if the design wasn't intended to be a LSA, as ...

Light Sport Limitations
What short comings have you found flying your light Sport aircraft that stop you from completing your mission.

Re: Arion LS-1 Lightning
The only thing I miss are the back seats. Speed is actually better, climb is much faster on half the fuel burn. My annual was less expensive, since I could source all the consumables at NAPA. Obviously, I love to fly the Lightning. Stalls are predictable and benign and she tracks well, even in turb...

Re: Arion LS-1 Lightning

Re: What happens
[quote="designrs"] Another thing to worry about is that fact that all pilots make mistakes and stuff happens. So if you busted airspace, violated a TFR, were part of a runway incursion or airborne near-miss (even if it wasn’t your fault), or if you simply had a disagreement with a grumpy a...

What happens
What happens if a sport pilot is caught flying a non compliant aircraft ? Or If he built a compliant aircraft and then modified it and it was no longer eligible to be flown by an sport licensed pilot ? Any difference ? Just curious ...

Re: Arion LS-1 Lightning
Sounds like a Mooney: slick plane but if you carry too much energy/airspeed and try to force it you'll regret the attempt. I used to want one of these very badly, I still sometimes consider maybe one day purchasing one. Then I started researching accident rates and looking at used aircraft on the m...

Re: Arion LS-1 Lightning
This is a picture I found and the landing gear seems very minimalistic at best with no real way to absorb any shock. I still want one but has to be a concern.

Re: Arion LS-1 Lightning
Anyone have updates on the Arion or have they purchased one. I am very interested but have many of the same concerns. The jabiru seems to have a checkered history for reliability and the landing gear seems to be marginal at times. I don't think its all heavy handed pilots either no one is immune fro...

Re: Elsa vs lsa
Appreciate all the responses and it’s not about going 115kts to 120kts it’s more like 100Kts to 120KTs and better climb rates as most our missions require 9500 ‘ Plus my background is in the racing community and performances is important to me. The plane is rated to 130Kts and I am aware that would ...
