Re: TL Ultralight Stingsport
Where did you get the OAT probe? Does it have a make/model?

Re: TL Ultralight Stingsport
I put on Loadstars the last time. I don't think any one tire would be any easier than another to get onto the wheel. Also, replaced the wheel bearings while I was at it.
No OAT probe.
No OAT probe.

Re: SportPilotTalk.com Shutting Down in August
Dr. Shuch is correct. Anyone else besides me notice how much the activity on this forum has increased in the last week or two? I have no interest in running a public forum (again - been there, done that), but I'd have no problem contributing $50 or $100 to keep this one alive for another three years...

I do subscribe, but I don't look at the classifieds. Just me, but I look at Barnstormers mostly.

Re: Seeking good way to fuel a high wing with mogas
Well, I would put it in the back of a pickup truck or on a small utility trailer. It's DOT approved so you can take it back and forth to the fuel supplier.

Re: Seeking good way to fuel a high wing with mogas
I have a low wing, so don't face this problem. But for other reasons I've been looking at portable fuel tanks and pumps. It would be a solution to your problem, though an expensive one. Re: Someone using my tail number?
Wow, 600 hours on a plane much younger than mine! Good for you! I just turned over 666 hours on a flight yesterday (and, no, that number didn't scare me). The Sting is a great airplane that fits my mission perfectly. The only thing I'm starting to notice is that, as I get older, getting in and out o...

Re: Someone using my tail number?
Well, my guy near Savannah was only flying at 1200 feet and about 100 knots, so it could have been almost any aircraft. It wasn't the result of a flight plan error since it was a "position-only flight". The flight path was definitely somebody doing testing or just having a good time (lots ...

Someone using my tail number?
Some time ago I registered with FlightAware to alert me anytime my tail number is flying. Suddenly, today, I'm getting alerts that my tail number is flying near Savannah, Georgia. I'm quite certain my airplane is sitting in my hangar in Crescent City, Florida. So, either FlightAware is going haywire...

Re: New 360 camera on a selfie stick off the wing
Very nice. It seems like the camera would waggle a lot while the plane is flying. Does the "magic" take care of that in the videos, or am I wrong and the stick is very stable?

When I attended, we spent most of engine time on Rotax. Brian covered Jabiru some. He spent time covering fuel and ignition systems on other non-Rotax engines.
