Re: Parachute repack
I contacted Bill Canino at SportAirUSA about the possible use of a BRS parachutes in a StingSport, as drdehave suggested. Here is Bill's response: Hello Ted, No, I am not monitoring any of the on-line logs but willing to help when anyone asks. The BRS is an acceptable option to the GRS.However the f...

Re: Parachute repack
Does anyone know of a shop or mechanic in the Northeast who will remove, ship for repack, and reinstall a GRS parachute from my Sting? I know that it can be done in Little Rock, but I'd delighted if it could be done closer to home in Connecticut or a nearby state.

Re: Parachute repack
Thank you all for your comments and information. I will probably keep the expired parachute package as is and fly the plane. If I decide to replace or repack in the future, I will write up my experience and post it here. I love the plane, now if I could only get the canopy to close easily.

Canopy Latch on Sting Sport
I am a new owner of a 2006 Sting Sprort. The canopy latch is extremely hard to close on the passenger side. I talked with Bill Canino on this today and he advises lubrication of latch mechanism (grease), and slipping PVC tubing over the latch handle to increase leverage and save your palms. Also to ...
