Re: P2002 MkII
Nice aircraft. Should come with a weight watchers membership. LSAs seem to be converging toward a mission of flight training where load carrying isn't as important as it is in touring and cross country. Bristell is an exception, but many desirable features are expensive extras rather than standard.

Factory Warranty vs depreciated cost of an LSA
I know LSAs take a significant depreciation hit in years 01-03. I have the option of a "loaded" (for good and bad, i.e. weight) factory demo Evektor with less than 50hr total time at approximately $50k off new list. No manufacturers warranty. "As is - where is." Rotax 912 ULS so ...

Re: New LSA - Bristell, Sting S4, SportCruiser or ?
Do you know the weight of the Bristell configured for IFR or even VFR and well equipped? I know Bristell claims significantly lower weight than comparably built LSAs. I ask because similar metal aircraft e.g. Evektor Harmony fully equipped including ballistic chute weigh about 830 lbs unloaded. For ...

Re: Evektor Sportstar or Harmony in Tucson or environs?
After owning and training people in a CTSW for 11 years (a little over 2K hrs. in CT's) there is no problem with landing a CT. It has always been and always will be the operator and poor technique. High time pilots have been the worse to transition. You have to break all that muscle memory and bad ...

Re: Evektor Sportstar or Harmony in Tucson or environs?
Sting seems to be a great plane with of course a great ambassador in Sting Flight Videos. The failure to allow E10 owing to the fuel tank issues raises some concerns. But she is a beauty for sure.

Re: Evektor Sportstar or Harmony in Tucson or environs?
Agreed, a fine plane although a little worried about the CTSW landing characteristics, and the new ownership. As a sailor I'm comfortable with good carbon fiber construction, but hard to evaluate damage.

Evektor Sportstar or Harmony in Tucson or environs?
I'm looking to fly with someone in one or both of these, happy to pay for demo flight, expenses, etc. Looking for a good mannered i.e. coordinated, plane with good range and ok cruising speed and factory support and these seem to fit the bill nicely.
