Re: Were you comfortable explaining to your fellow pilots you became a sport pilot because of a medical reason?
Oh well another thread bites the dust...Never thought that a comment about a government agency making something so complicated would be read as a statement of left versus right. And of course now we are hearing that only the right can afford the best airplanes...what topic will be hijacked next? Lea...

Re: New LSA - Bristell, Sting S4, SportCruiser or ?
I have been training in a Bristell since last fall - just waiting for my check ride. The only other LSA I have flown was an RV 12. Previous to that a 172. So I can not compare other LSA's. I can only speak of my experience of many hours of flight in the Bristell. The sport Cruiser is a nice airplane...

Re: HOLY COW!!!
Off topic, when is your check ride? I don't know. In late April - my CFI told me that we would be concentrating and my check ride prep. He was going to contact the person they use. He said there are 3 of us ready to go. However the DPE is a Captain for United so he told my CFI that once he received...

Re: HOLY COW!!!
"I'll agree there were some court cases in there that Cessna took a liability blood bath in, because of that it appears everyone has raised their prices to match the "liability" factor, still that's one heck of a price jump." Good Point....I say we change the topic in favor of co...

Re: HOLY COW!!!
Something like this would be good to post in the current threat "Is Sport Aviation Dying" I train in a Bristell and the sales material they had with them at Oshkosh had a new one priced at $231,000. I think for a LSA that is way to much to attract new people with hopes to own an airplane. ...

Re: Got your license... now what?
This question is very timely for me. I have wondering the same thing myself. I am student with way to many hours - I mean a lot! 5 weeks ago my CFI put in a call to their DPE. The answer was he would be free early July - now it is looking like August. I am not in any hurry for a few reasons. 1. I do...

This may be a dumb question, but do you have to do your check ride in a LSA?

Re: Who is Right?
As a student at a controlled airport (KLNS) I may have become known by both ground and tower....I would have gone with B. I would much rather irritate them tell me to keep moving than having ask me Why I didn't listen...I am trying to change their 1st, 2nd and 3rd impression of me...LOL
