Re: Purchasing choices

When I "found" my Piper Sport in Little Rock I had Bill and his crew do the prebuy. Bill is very knowledgeable quite the renaissance man.

Re: Samsung Galaxy Tab A/AVARE

Sorry but I don't know of any other tutorials or documentation. It's one of the shortcomings of freeware.

Re: Samsung Galaxy Tab A/AVARE

Dan

I've been running Avare on a Galaxy tablet for a little over a year now. Love it. Helps keep cockpit clutter to a minimum and makes flight planning a breeze. I keep a backup on my phone.

Re: "House call" CFI in Arizona?

Have checked to see if any of your prospective neighbors are CFI's? It's very possible that someone in the park may be able to give you instruction.

Re: Weather Briefing Method

I generally use Internet but will call on occasion. I will often supplement the official brifing with non aviation sources. As far as students go, some are more comfortable with the telephone, and as previously mentioned all available methods should be taught.

Re: Best Company for LSA Insurance

I recently sold the Grumman and was considering replacing it with a Piper Arrow, I ended up going with the PiperSport. I was surprised to find out that the Arrow gave the best bang for the buck insurancewise even with retracts and more seats. 1969 Grumman AA1 1975 Piper Arrow II 2010 Pipersport The ...

Re: Best Company for LSA Insurance

And it would have still been cheaper for me to insure a 40 year old 4 seat complex aircraft than a modern LSA with a ballistic chute. Go figure.

Re: An 1800 lb LSA?

Even if the aircraft is more structurally sound as some suggest, the pilot is not. There is a limit to how much deceleration the human body can withstand.

Just hang in there and fly as often as you can, you'll be taking your check ride before you know it.
