Re: Mods / Admins - Need Some Help

Yes, I know. I sent him a PM. So far Paul hasn't replied to the PM or to this thread. Not sure what's going on.

Re: Mods / Admins - Need Some Help

I guess the forum has no mods or admins anymore? Is this place just on autopilot from now until it runs out of gas?

Mods / Admins - Need Some Help

Hoping someone can help. My son has been trying to join the forum for several days but has not received any response. Is there a problem with new members at the moment?

I've tried sending PMs but they don't leave my Outbox. What's up with that?

Thanks in advance!

Re: Logbook question

These considerations are partly why I used an LSA when going from Sport to Private. I had already been flying the plane, and during PPL training I could do all the solo flying (or passenger flying) I wanted. I could log instruction as dual received and as PIC. It was nice during training to be able ...

Re: New to aviation / LSA

Yes, you can take lessons in a 172, but you can’t solo in it without a medical. You’ll need to transition into a light sport before solo, and that might take almost as much time as if you started in it. Be forewarned; know what you’re getting into.

Re: Here are my finances. I need your help please.

Is 23k your total savings, or just what you have allocated for a plane? If that's the grand total, you're not ready to buy a plane. If you sink 15 of it into the plane, one Major Life Event (a new roof, a medical problem, a dead car, loss of a job, etc.) will sink you. Don't be this foolish. Save a w...

Re: New to aviation / LSA

Thank you, HF, I was just getting on to post I had talked to Brant from Sebring Flight Academy. Their course appears to be a week longer, a little more expensive but also includes housing. Both appear to be amazing! Brant was awesome to talk with and will be accommodating and comforting to my situa...

Re: Light Sport Limitations

Two things: 1 - 1320 lb limit. That doesn’t allow enough baggage for me and SWMBO to take a long-ish vacation unless we pack like it’s a motorcycle trip or ship stuff ahead. Sure, it can be done, but why would I when there are other options? 2 - Light wing loading. LSAs get tossed around more in tur...

Re: Daniel A. Bernath Fatal Accident Factual Report

I wonder what CFI and DPE signed off Bernath’s ticket. It’s hard to imagine someone with worse ADM. you would think they would have seen that. People on this forum tried to reason with him without success. Witless, thick headed, and arrogant.

Amazing. From the damaged aircraft to the medical issues to a chemistry lab's worth of pharmaceuticals in his body, this was almost inevitable. Wow.

Welcome, JJ. I earned both my sport and my private tickets in a P92 Eaglet. Enjoy the training, and best of luck as you finish up.

Yes, it was great seeing you both in January. Hopefully, we'll converge again in November.

I’m planning on it. Hope they get a good crowd. Deland should be a better location.
