Re: Bristell NG5 915 SLSA

Re: Non-fatal Sport Cruiser Accident
Having an unlatched canopy in a Sportcruiser or a Bristell is just a mild inconvenience. It is not a big deal! I have had it happen to me many times during 6years of Sportcruiser ownership and 18months of Bristell ownership. The first rule is don't panic, stay calm, just throttle back to around 70-80...

Re: Aerotrek A220/240... thoughts?
Hi Pete, I suspect you are not comparing like with like. There is only 1 Kitfox 7SS currently flying in the UK.(3 more in late build though). Agreed if you compare older Kitfox...4's etc then the Eurofox is way ahead. Personally and having had various conversations with Roger Cornwall, Eurofox UKabo...

Re: Czech Sport Aircraft Launches The PS-38 Tourer
Having talked to the guys on the stand at Fredrichshafen this week the plane is just in 'concept' stage to gauge public reaction and is the one surviving 'Parrot' of some years ago.

'The name Woodcomp is misleading. Their props no longer contain wood (if indeed they ever did).'
According to the Woodcomp website they make Wooden Props, Composite Props and Wood-Composite Props

Re: Bristell--sacrifices to save on weight
Other differences are the extensive use of plastic/composite for instrument panels and in the baggage area compared to the Sportcruiser. The baggage area I personally think is a bit flimsy. The Bristell also has 'wet' wings like Grumman AA5's used to have, unlike the Sportcruiser which has seperatel...

Re: SportCruiser--handling differences, Classic v. glass pan
I don't think for one moment the difference between glass and classic is the issue. Early and late Sportcruisers have different flying control harmonisation. There has been three versions of elevator/taliplane and two version of aileron arms, all obviously affecting the handling of the aircraft. Per...

Re: Sling S-LSA vs. EAB vs. ???
As far as the sportcruiser I can guarantee it is at least that heavy.
My Sportcuiser is 796.5lb empty as per W/B with full Glass panel but no Autopilot or Parachute. This then gives me 523.5 useful load which is just great. If you load an LSA with too many toys of co...

Re: New Tecnam P2008 Photos
Sounds like an avionics issue that a good avionics guy could sort in a few hours. Not a fundamental problem with the aircraft. Why not take the plane away to another avionics shop, get them to sort it, and then bill Tecnam America who I guess is just the local distributor. Incidently Tecam is an Ita...

I think we mostly agree here. I use half flap for takeoff, then lift the nosewheel off at 40knots and away she goes, climb away at 60-65knots. I fly the approach at 57knots in still air, maybe 60knots if there is a bit of wind but one thing is sure I totally agree with deltafox it must be 55knots ov...
