Re: Rotax 912 uls electrical question

Before flight battery voltage is 12.5, after flight it is 10.5 volts. I know it is 10.5 volts in flight as the Dynon cuts out and goes to backup battery, radios cut out, and GPS cuts out and goes to back up battery.

Re: Rotax 912 uls electrical question

A new wiring harness has been installed by the mechanic. The battery voltage (on my Dynon) reads 10.5 volts when running. The plane starts up after each flight and I use a battery tender after each flight and when I check the voltage at the battery it reads 12.5 volts after charging it. The battery ...

Re: ADSB-B in and out

Well after much thought and $$$, I have chosen to go with the Garmin GDL 82 and GDL 50 route with a Garmin Aera 660. I picked up a good used GTX 330 from a shop that sold it to me (the owner was upgrading) and I got it for a great deal of 500.00. I just could not pay that kind of money for the 335. ...

Re: ADSB-B in and out

Thanks Shawn, that is one good looking panel. I have ordered the GTX 345 and the 660 combo from Garmin for a big discount. My Transponder died the other day so a little more money but I am set for a very long time and I am now 2020 compliant.

Re: ADSB-B in and out

Thanks for the info on the 660 I think this will fit the bill perfect and at a much lower cost. I will link up with the 345 and I can get it in a bundle.

Re: CFIS Questions

A CFI-S can NOT give a BFR to a PPL, only a PPL who is exercising as a sport pilot only. This is directly from the FAA and the FAR's.

Re: 912 uls very hard time to start

I have not had them changed out, since there has never been a problem. I will have the carbs looked at first then move on to the modules, as it started after the carbs were serviced.

912 uls very hard time to start

I have a 2009 912uls with 1070 hrs. Both carbs have been serviced about 3 months ago. First flight of the day crank and crank but nothing, and if I add some choke it backfires nothing else. I have replaced the battery, and after it finally does start up works fine all day. Starts right up before eve...
