Re: 2007 AMD 601XLB for sale
That is my airplane in the picture above. I thought I had photos saved on my computer of it but I dont, and I have not been back to that side of town to stop by and take photos. The annual is out of date, but other than the lack of ADSB everything is in great shape. As for the ADSB issue, I have not...

2007 AMD 601XLB for sale
I have decided to sell my plane. I have had some medical issues and have not felt comfortable going flying for a few years now. The plane is a factory built SLSA, with 0-200 engine. I will have to update the hrs when I can get over to the hangar but it is somewhere around 400. It has a dynon D100 an...

Re: Two dead in Zodiac CH601 XL accident
The B is not added to the registration, it is more of a way in a fourm or when you list it for sale to designate it as having the wing mod complete. AMD issued a AD for the SLSA, so for a SLSA if it is currently flying it either has a ferry permit to fly it to get modified, or it has been completed....

Re: Two dead in Zodiac CH601 XL accident
As the owner of a AMD built 601xl I take notice of any news related to a 601XL. From what I am reading on this acident it looks more like he hit a tree after take off. To my knowlage there has not been a single reported case of a 601XLB (the B standing for a wing upgraded aircraft) involved in a cra...

Re: What is your interest level in Light Sport flying?
I can say from my experience a 2 hr ride one way to get to my air plane and it would never get used. I have a 50 min ride one way now, and dont get out there as much as I did when my office was 15 min from the airport. I have bought a hangar lot at a private airport about 5 min from the house, and h...

Re: FAA Amends ADS-B Rule For LSA
How would this apply to a SLSA in my case a AMD 601xl, as far as installing it, and getting a OK from the builder that no longer exist?

Re: Lunch At KGMU Dec 4
I may try to make the 12/14 KSPA. I have yet to do one of the breakfast club days, but have many people at KCUB that go all the time.

Re: Flight Review Today
All is good. I didn't get the seaplane rating with the intent that is would serve as a flight review anyway. I had scheduled a flight review for the week before, but got weathered out. Then, someone reminded me that the seaplane rating might work as a flight review and the people at Jack Brown thou...

Re: Sport first then Private
I would agree, I have not moved on to PP yet but have thought about it, and I do not think the PP check ride will be a hard thing now. I have a lot of time as PIC in a light sport airplane both solo and with a passenger. All this extra time has made me more confident, should I decide to go for my PP.

You can put me in the I leave reserve fuel at about 3 to 4 gal per tank camp. Just don't want to risk it.

Re: No Sport Pilot instructor within 150 miles!
We have a similar situation here in SC. I think there's an outfit near Charleston that offers LSA rentals, but that's not convenient from the upstate. There was a school in Greenville for a time, but it closed. I would encourage you to check into renting standard-category aircraft that meet LSA reg...
