I am considering building a tail kit and would like any suggestions from any builders on what size/type of Air Compressor I should consider. Any comments would be much appreciated.

I'm building all aluminum, wood or steel may be different.

The main thing you want is to run a small air drill, maybe the occasional die grinder. 10Gal tank minimum, with piston type compressor, the oilless ones are generally much louder. Something from Harbor Freight or Tractor Supply should do the job.

More important than the compressor is the drill. You need one with a "teasing trigger". This you won't find in Harbor Freight or Home Depot. I got a Sioux from Brown Tools for about $200, but there are cheaper ones that get good reviews. You want a 1/4" chuck, 3/8 is too big and too heavy.

Be sure to check out the home building lists.
