Got a Vizio Tab 1008 Android tablet for christmas. The tablet costs around $200.
Loaded WingX and Avilution on it. Alot of redundency here. WingX is slick and cool. It does weather really well. But it does not have a moving map sectional.
Avilution pretty much is a moving map Sectional. The GPS on the tablet works wonderfully well. It has integrated A-F/D as well. Very handy.
The tablet is a slightly larger 8 inch model so the sectional actually makes sense. I can see the flight path of most of my 1-2 hour flights.
Both of them have E6B's that are a bit confusing. The whiz wheel is still working for me. |

| I went the iPad route a couple of months ago, with WingX, and have stopped carrying paper charts! Today I flew from Lock Haven PA to Columbia SC, using its moving map as primary nav (and the Garmin GPS as backup) and everything worked well. EFBs are definitely the future. |

| Another popular moving map application for Android is Naviator (note spelling). |

| Foreflight appears to be pretty popular too (Iphone/IPad) |

I use Foreflight for iPad. The one thing I would like to see for it is a rotating screen such as they use in Google Earth.
I would like to be able to swivel the view around so I could Orient the map to direction of flight. |

| WingX with the Synthetic Vision add-on has both those features. |
