On Remos GX that I rent, the right tire is significantly more worn than the left tire. The owner, who is also a check-out CFI, told me that just about everyone (including myself) land with side load to the right.

So, I am thinking if it would be a good idea to affix some sort of vynil stripe on the cowl that would help to combat the parallax. Remos' nose is completely smooth and oddly shaped.

Is this something that can be done without damagine the paint, or is fading inevitable?

First of all, my right tire is more worn than the left as well. My theory is that when you land solo, to be aligned with the centerline you have to have the right wing down slightly because of the weight distribution.

Funny, Pete -- in every plane I've ever owned since I became a CFI, the left tire is the one that wears. I suppose it has something to do with me flying from the wrong side...

Easy solution: half the time, fly from the right seat.

Easier solution: just rotate the tires at each annual/100 hour inspection.

Or a more simple answer would be it's out of alignment. Toe- in, toe-out or the camber is not correct. It's not usually people's landings since that has far less contact time than taxiing does. My money is on the alignment. Until proven different this is where I would focus my attention.
