| Hi, I'm new in the forum and also in the hobbie. Actually I started my flight lessons and I want to buy a lightsport airplane. I'm between Flightstar II and Rans S12. These are two used airplanes selling locally in Puerto Rico. What do you think guys between these two aircraft models? |

I had an S-12 that I never finished and sold.
The local Sport DPE had a Flightstar II that he instructed and gave checkrides in.
The Flightstar is TWICE THE AIRCRAFT that the Rans is. Now the Rans is OK. The FS is just much better!
The pusher Rans doesn't fly like it's on rails, like the tractor FS.
The DPE was on his second engine and had over 5000 hours of dual given in his Rotax 582 powered FS when the FAA made commercial use of an ELSA illegal, so he sold it and got a J-3 Cub. |

Thanks for your input, I'll take this in consideration. However actually the Flightstar is in better conditions than the Rans is, so probably I will buy the Flightstar.
Thanks!!! |
