That's a great airplane, and I hope they do well with it. However, they need to learn the specs, and get them up on their website. Currently, they posted:
Quote: Cruise Speed: ??? mph@2400rpm
2400 RPM is not much above idle speed. Somebody needs to tell them about the Rotax gearbox... |

I am sure that is a reulst of the webmaster not being familiar with the AC.
I have seen it in the pattern several times and I am sure the IPs are very familiar with the performance characteristics of the AC.
Normally the Pilots and IP's don't do the web maintenance. |

| The N28GX cruises at about 100+ knots at 4800 rpm. The fuel burn is amazing, way below 4. I think I can make it stay in the air for 5 hours easily. Michael told me not to try and save and basically just run it a 5000+, but just cannot help it... Keep pulling the throttle back. So I don't really know how fast I can make it zip by redlining it. It has wheel pants though. I think it must be faster than book. POH says 97 kts at 4800. Perhaps it goes faster when underloaded. |

I imagine that's TAS at sea level, ISA standard day. Do you have any sea level standard days out there, Pete? |
