I wish I could tell you that your situation is unique. Unfortunately, this sort of thing happens far too often for my liking, and does undermine the credibility of the entire aviation industry. Be assured that there are many highly professional flight educators out there (and quite a few of them of them haunt this forum). We are bringing whatever pressure we can to bear on our less professional brethren. In time, this situation should improve. (Meanwhile, I'm sorry your experience was not more positive.)
