Is anyone aware of a flight school that offers training in this area? For all the hype and predictions of how this will increase the number of pilots, it seems the biggest roadblocks are existing schools and FBOs. I have had sone just plain laugh and say I was nuts and better off getting a PPL.

The uneducated (some FBO's and some schools) always laugh. They don't know what else to say because they don't know any different.

Googling unearths a bunch in MA, that's not the problem. There's a guy in Plymouth:

Also, an outfit in Northhampton:

But if a guy asks "Mass of NH", it means Boston suburbs, and these are a while away. My own department is in Westford. My manager flies a Comanche, but I think he keeps it in Manchester across the border.

PPL schools are slowly catching on. PPL school next to ours nearly went belly up.. They finally bought one of the popular LSAs after watching our LSA school fly 5 training missions to their one!

Another local big school just got a Skycatcher and has another on order. Being a Cessna school, they apparently had to wait for a C162.
