I happened to run across the Luscombe Silvaire LSA-8. Beautiful plane. It's even available with a Rotec R2800 radial engine!
Anyone have any experience with this plane? |

The story with Rotec-powered Luscombe is extremely murky. The only one that I know is mentioned in this message:

Quote: Last year I talked to one of the staff at Flabob and he said that the Rotec powered Phantom II was built from the last of the fuselages built at Cape Girardeau.
If you "run across" one, it's going to be a miracle.
The story of repeated relocations and attempts to restart the production of Luscombe is the craziest even among the LSAs. I gave up on trying to make any sense of what is going on with it. |
