You hours in it are YOURS FOREVER. Your new instructor will start right where your hours leave off. EXCEPT THE HOURS GETTING USED TO A NEW AIRCRAFT as was stated before. If your previous "flight school" was a formal (like part 141) school, your records and daily grade slips will give your new instructor a clearer picture of your levels of knowledge and ability. Simply put, swapping flight schools is usually just a SMALL BUMP IN THE ROAD.
