For all of those Ipad fans, me included, there is a new product out for securing the Ipad to your leg. It is called Myclip and I have included a link to the site. I personally love my Ipad and use it for every flight, I think this will be a nice addition for holding it secure.

The EAA e-Hotline says deliveries are expected for October and the price will be $39.95.

I love my iPad. I am looking at adding a RAM glare shield mount in my shared REMOS. I am currently using ForeFlightHD and SkyCharts Pro.

BTW, I love the look of your Lightning. It is one sexy airplane!

Thanks Gene, I have some pictures of her on another thread that also shows the glass panel. She even has synthetic vision.

I also use ForeFlightHD and SkyCharts Pro. The new Touch Planning and BYOP features are a wonderful addition. If FF adds Geo-referenced taxis and can find a good way to display in-cockpit weather I believe they will have everything one could want. I am looking at SkyRadar now that utilizes the ADS-B system for free weather but I have not been able to find any PIREPS on it yet. I hate to be the test subject and drop $1,200.00 to find out how well it works but if I don't see a PIREP soon I may have to do just that.

AA,

Yeah.. I looked at those. I am seriously thinking of building a Lightning
as an E-LSA. But first things first is finishing up my cert. I will be heading
down to KSRQ to finish up and do my check ride. Will be down there the 7th
- 16th of Oct. Really looking forward to completing it.

My iPad will be in the cockpit of the Remos on the way down. I agree
with you about the Geo-referenced taxi and weather. I haven't seen the
SkyRadar app yet. Will check it out later.
