I would like to tell you that as of this Saturday Morning I did an acceptably Short field landing after failing my checkride yesterday because of a ugly one with winds 17 gusting at 26. (Should have gone around, advice to others!!) My CFI was nice enough to come assist me earlier today in doing 3 good Short field landings and signing me off to go up again with the DPE... So after over 3 years of on again off again training I how am the holder of a brand new Temporary Airman Certificate Sports Pilot .. O,,,, my 19 year old son got his as well... No big deal for him!!!
Now the real learning begins...

CONGRATULATIONS!!! :P
17G26 is a tough road for anyone. Keep up the good work and practice, practice, practice. You will pass your checkride in no time.
CONGRATULATIONS to your son as well. |

Yes congradulations and good luck, may all you days be CAVU.
I am surprised you decided to go ahead with a check ride with those winds. How much was the crosswind component? Depending on what you were flying you have been reaching the published demonstrated numbers in the POH. |

The 6 ply Dressers are holding up well... I have the new 8 ply's ready in standby... May be a while till I need to change them. I think my numbers of landings may decrease a little now that Evan and I are no longer training every week!!
Brian
Maybe see you at Copperstate?? |

I'll try to remember it. You'll be able to fly down this time.
I am going to Mt.Vernon to see how that's maturing. |
