Over the past few months there has been a lot of interest in having a SP school in NJ & CT. We are working with some people in the NJ & CT area and I would like to help gauge the interest in that area. If you are one of the people in the NJ & CT area, please PM your email address. Thanks!

You can count me in, I'm one of those people! I want a flight school with a SP program in Northern/Central NJ. I don't mind having an SP school in Lincoln Park or Essex County but I prefer sometimes to train out at the closest airport to my home, Morristown Municipal Airport if you can. Sorry if I'm being too pushy. Please forgive me Tim!

Tim told me that there are a few flight schools in NJ who are interested in having an LSA. The problem is that the flight schools can't afford to buy an LSA so they have to look for someone who's interested in buying an LSA and put it on leaseback. It's hard for someone to find a leaseback deal. Are there any SPs in NJ that are interested in buying a Tecnam LSA for a leaseback with one of the Central/Northern NJ flight schools?

As a pilot, what would be the advantage of a lease back?

Let's say I buy a 100k aircraft at 7% then my monthly payment is 1,161.08 for 10 years. What is a school going to be willing to pay me?

What is the typical length of time a school would want to use an aircraft for? Who typically handles maintenance, insurance (I am sure I'd still need to obtain some....), tie downs, etc.

I also know flight schools come and go... so would not necessarily see this as a hugely reliable or safe investment.

I am actually really interested in the Tecnam high wing aircraft w/ struts. They seem like nice solid reliable and neutral aircraft.

Hey tadel001, I haven't talked to you in a long time but what's the current update on the Tecnam flight school being established in NJ?

Are flight schools in Northern NJ such as Morristown, Essex County, or Lincoln Park gonna have a sport pilot training program and a Tecnam LSA soon?
