| On a Rotax you should be using Hobbs time. Hobbs records any time the engine oil pressure is over 15 psi. The tach on the other hand is variable and runs slow at low rpms and runs fast at high rpms. The 20% rule between the two is normal. Use the Hobbs for all engine timed maint. If you have a Dynon turn off the tach and just let the Hobbs show. |
