Ok, so I FINALLY have time to work on my CFIS. As far as books go gleim seems to have the books at a good price. Sportys doesn't have anything. Is there anywhere else that will have good books to study for?

I had the Gleim and ASA...I would definitely recommend going with ASA, much more substantial and better written, IMO.
Or go with
http://www.ap-stores.com/c-246-flight-instructor-tool-box.aspx
they have a bunch of kits for the sport pilot instructor.

I second the vote for ASA. It's very easy to get through and covers everything well.

Thanks. We really try to make the ASA books the best and it appears to be working. I personally take suggestions and incorporate. You will find the Checkride book will help you with the second FAA test, the Checkride.
