Ok, so I FINALLY have time to work on my CFIS. As far as books go gleim seems to have the books at a good price. Sportys doesn't have anything. Is there anywhere else that will have good books to study for?

I had the Gleim and ASA...I would definitely recommend going with ASA, much more substantial and better written, IMO.
Or go with
http://www.ap-stores.com/c-246-flight-instructor-tool-box.aspx
they have a bunch of kits for the sport pilot instructor. |

| I second the vote for ASA. It's very easy to get through and covers everything well. |

| Thanks. We really try to make the ASA books the best and it appears to be working. I personally take suggestions and incorporate. You will find the Checkride book will help you with the second FAA test, the Checkride. |
